Working with Primary schools to increase learners self-awareness and opportunity awareness around the world of work. Learners are helped to understand basic knowledge of jobs, careers and educational pathways. Skills gained in these sessions support transition to High School and link in with the new curriculum. All of our sessions are differentiated and can be delivered currently in English and Welsh.
For our youngest learners, we use our WoW Characters to highlight stories, activities and games. We also have our very own WoW Song (written & composed by the talented musician, Karen Kirkland). The WoW Song helps learners recap what they have covered during each session.
All of the above supports Transition and some sessions will be supported via our fantastic links with Community and Business organisations.
Parent/carer/family involvement is built into the project via ‘homework’, participation during sessions and/or via the Home Learning Packs.
WoW seeks to ensure that all learners have the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to gain an equal and therefore inclusive access to the labour market.
