Hi, I’m Jill and I joined WoW in 2019 when this amazing opportunity was offered to me by Sue. I am an advanced skills teacher and GCSE examiner with 35 years senior experience of teaching in the secondary sector. In the past few years, I have been involved in mentoring and coaching teachers and delivering national training for an Examination Board. I have worked closely with primary colleagues in a range of joint project across my local education authority. I have had many and varied roles and have been Head of Faculty for World Studies but one of the most fulfilling was being Head of Careers Education, Guidance and Enterprise. I have seen how good quality careers education and guidance can motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential and the impact it can have on their attainment and achievement in school. The WoW Project encapsulates this and engages students and gives them a vision of what they can achieve in the future. I have recently taken early retirement so I can focus full time on my work with the WoW Project, which I find truly inspirational and where I feel I can be involved in something that has the power to change students in the most amazing way.
